New Egypt Speedway Short Track Super Series ‘Dirty Jersey 6’ Postponed to Tuesday, August 20
NEW EGYPT, NJ – With rain in the area throughout the
morning and predicted severe weather in the evening hours, Thursday night’s ‘Dirty
Jersey 6’ at New Egypt Speedway has been postponed to Tuesday, August 20.
Rain formed
over the Central Jersey facility during the morning hours and forecasters
called for another wave in the late afternoon and evening, forcing the Bob
Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco to shift
the date to the 20th of August.
The program
in its entirety will go to August with the STSS Velocita-USA South Region big-block/small-block
Modifieds offering $6,000 to win for 40 laps, Capitol Renegade United Racing
Club (URC) Sprint Cars ($2,000 to win) and STSS Crate 602 Sportsman.
All times and
prices will remain the same.
Next up for the STSS is the ‘Lightning on the Mountain’ at Thunder Mountain Speedway in Center Lisle, N.Y., on May 26 with STSS Halmar International North Region Modifieds (Event No. 2), STSS Crate 602 Sportsman North Region Event No. 1 and the Chad Sindoni Memorial for Street Stocks.
