Next Up, Florida: All-Tech Raceway Hosts STSS ‘Sunshine Swing’ Feb. 4-8, 2025

LAKE CITY, FL – Next up, Florida.

The Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco closed the curtain on the 2024 season in dramatic fashion Nov. 2 at Del.’s Georgetown Speedway, with Stewart Friesen completing a pass of Anthony Perrego at the line.

Now, the focus shifts to Season No. 12 for the STSS and an annual trek to the state of Florida.

The ‘Sunshine Swing’ celebrates its sixth anniversary Feb. 4-8, 2025 at All-Tech Raceway in Lake City, Fla. The week will include a milestone for the series. Currently, 198 STSS Modified events have been completed since the inception of the series in April 2014, meaning the ‘Sunshine Swing’ will include event No. 200.

Wendell and Patty Durrance operate the pristine facility located between Jacksonville and Gainesville, a venue that has hosted all but one of the STSS visits to Florida.

An open practice on Tuesday (Feb. 4) sets the stage for four consecutive nights of racing at All-Tech to kick-start the ’25 Northeast Modified season.

Wednesday (Feb. 5) brings a 30-lap, $4,000-to-win STSS Modified main event and a 25-lap, $1,500-to-win headliner for the STSS Crate 602 Sportsman. On Thursday (Feb. 6), STSS Modifieds go 35 laps with $5,000 up for grabs and STSS Crate 602 Sportsman race 25 laps with $1,500 going to the winner.

Friday (Feb. 7) sees the STSS Modified main increase to 40 laps offering $6,000 to the winner, while STSS Crate 602 Sportsman increase to 30 laps and a $2,000 top prize.

Saturday’s (Feb. 8) finale is topped by a 50-lap, $7,500-to-win STSS Modified main and a 30-lap, $2,000-to-win Crate 602 Sportsman program.

Again in ’25, ‘Sunshine Swing’ champions will be crowned in both the STSS Modified and STSS Crate 602 Sportsman divisions.

The entire week of racing will be televised on FloRacing (www.floracing.tv).

The ‘Sunshine Swing’ tire rule for both STSS Modifieds and STSS Crate 602 Sportsman is as follows: Right-Rear: American Racer 53 ONLY; Left-Rear: American Racer 44 ONLY; Right-Front: American Racer 44 ONLY; Left-Front: Any American Racer tire.

Complete event information and purse structures will be posted in the coming weeks.
